What you can talk about
Anything work and health
- How your health or disability is affecting your work.
- Preparing for a conversation with your manager or HR.
- Feeling isolated, anxious or unsure while off sick.
- Deciding what to share about your health, and with whom.
- Planning a return to work or a change of role.
- Finding other services, support workers, training, equipment and apps that could help.
Planned check-ins
Weeks 2 and 4 · months 2, 4 and 6
- Week 2
First check-in
How are things going? We help with anything that’s stuck.
- Week 4
Early review
What’s helping and what isn’t. We chase up applications and equipment.
- Month 2
Settling in
Are your adjustments and strategies working day to day?
- Month 4
Progress review
A look back at what’s changed, and what you still need.
- Month 6
Next steps
We decide together whether to finish or keep going. You can always come back.
You decide what your employer hears
Your check-ins are confidential. If you’d like your employer involved, we can keep them updated — but only with your permission, and only what you’re happy to share.
- Nothing is shared with your employer unless you say yes.
- If you agree, we can send your manager a short summary at the end of your check-ins, showing what’s helped and what you still need.
- If you need more support, or your adjustments need to change, we can raise it with your employer straight away — so you don’t have to wait, or do it alone.
- You see what we share before it’s sent, and you can change your mind at any time.
- Summaries are about your work, not your medical details.
- Showing what’s working can help make the case for keeping your adjustments in place.
What to expect
Honest and clear
Peer support is
Listening without judgement, sharing what has helped others, and helping you think through your options at your own pace.
Peer support isn’t
Medical, legal, financial, or professional advice. If you need that, we’ll help you find the right place to get it.
Confidential
What you tell us stays between you and us. The only exception is if we’re worried about your safety or someone else’s — see our privacy notice.
Talk to someone who’s been there
Free and confidential. Get in touch whichever way feels easiest, and a peer support worker will get back to you.
